EasyPass

EasyPass

EasyPass is a safe, secure and convenient way for you to reset or change your DCU password and to unlock your DCU account independently of ISS.

EasyPass will enable Dublin City University to fulfil objectives in the DCU Strategic plan 2017-2022 by increasing security through adhering to a best practise password policy.

To enjoy all the benefits of EasyPass:
    • Please visit easypass.dcu.ie
    • Log in with your DCU user name and password.
    • Register an alternate non DCU email address.
    • This email will be used in the process to unlock your account and to change your password.

Benefits:
    • Enhancing passwords with passphrases.
    • Reset your passphrase from anywhere, at any time.
    • Never be locked out of your DCU account again.
    • Convenient mobile app.

Advice on the creation of a new passphrase:
    • Minimum length should be at least 14 characters.
    • Must not be a palindrome.
    • Must not contain any character more than twice consecutively.
    • Must not have 5 consecutive characters from username.

EasyPass Mobile App

To facilitate EasyPass self-service password management 'on the go', ISS have deployed a mobile app, ManageEngine ADSelfServicePlus that supports all major platforms.

Q:   How to install & configure the iOS App 

EasyPass has a native app for iPhone users, ManageEngine ADSelfServicePlus, which enables users to reset your password and unlock your account using your iPhone.

To use the application you must first (A)Install the application and then (B) Configure the application.

(A) Install The Application:
  1. Scan the QR code below with your digital device to begin the install process of the ManageEngine ADSelfServicePlus application.
  2. Once installed, scan the second QR code below to configure the ManageEngine ADSelfServicePlus application.
  3. Alternatively, the application, ManageEngine ADSelfServicePlus can be downloaded and installed from the App Store.

(B) Configure The Application:
  1. To configure the application, ADSelfService Plus, please scan the QR code below:

  1. Launch ManageEngine ADSelfServicePlus application from your IOS or Android device, see image of app launcher below.

  2. Tap the Password Reset button, to reset password.
  3. Tap the Account Unlock button, to unlock your account.
  4. Tap the Change Password button, to change your password.
