Best Organisational Change Management Program 2018

Congratulations to DCU's Core HR team on receiving the award "Best Organisational Change Management Program" recognised at the recent COREHR Horizon conference.

This was a cross university project where members of the ISS team worked with colleagues from HR and Finance to deliver an upgraded and cloud hosted COREHR solution for the University.

Project manager Maria Lyons, commented that, "this project has involved a huge amount of work by a large number of people across the University and the award recognised this achievement and impact."

Thanks also to:

  • Brendan Gillen (Finance) - who wasn't in attendance for the award presentation unfortunately, but was part of the main project team along with Maria, Joe and Avril.
  • The extended project team in HR, Finance and ISS for the time and effort they put in over the 4 months of the project.
  • John Doyle from ISS for all his work on the interfaces and databases.
  • The front line support at go live from the teams on the ISS Service Desk, Finance Systems and HR/CoreTime.
  • Chris, Robert and Justin from ISS for delivering the AppsAnywhere software.
  • Declan and the team in Maps for their support during the project.

CORE have over 300 clients and with 50 clients completing upgrades this year, the competition was tough. Awards were given to Ted Baker, JD sports and of course DCU. Project staff - Maria Lyons (ISS - Project manager), Joe Maxwell (HR) and Avril Smyth (ISS) were there to receive the well earned award, which recognised that

DCU are one of the first sites in Ireland on V25 and are the first University in Ireland.

In excess of 1600 Portal users across 3 campuses are now live.

Approx 300 users are live on Core Back Office across 3 campuses.

All Version16 interfaces have been successfully migrated and are working on Version25.

The upgrade was delivered on the exact date agreed and under budget.

This project enables a stable platform to move on to Phases 2 and 3 and deliver additional functionality and stable processes to users.
