DCU Library photographic and video consent information

Dear awards ceremony attendee,

You will be attending the awards ceremony for the DCU Library Creative Writing Competition in DCU on 19th May 2026.

During the event, the DCU team will be taking photographs of the attendees and they may also film video content. These photographs and videos will be used to promote this event, and similar events, on DCU’s social media accounts and on the DCU website. They may also be included in internal and external reports and presentations highlighting DCU’s community activities.

For a period of five years, these photographs and videos may be used to promote DCU’s community activities on the platforms described above. After this time the images and videos will be stored indefinitely in secure digital folders that will be accessible by selected DCU staff members only. They will be used for historical purposes only (to mark DCU anniversaries, historical publications, information on the history of DCU in print or digital format) on the DCU website and social media platforms.

We will ask you to sign a photographic and video consent form at the event which indicates that you give DCU permission to share photographs or videos featuring your image, and to thereafter store these, as described above.

You can withdraw your consent at any time and request access to, and erasure of pictures or videos featuring your image.
