Web of Science
Web of Science provides access to the Science Citation Index, a multidisciplinary index to the journal literature of the sciences. It fully indexes over 6,650 major journals across 150 scientific disciplines and includes the cited references from indexed articles. Scopus is one of the largest multi-disciplinary abstracting and indexing databases of research literature and quality web sources. It offers access to over 16,000 titles from more than 4000 international publishers, with abstracts available back to 1966. Citation data is available from 1996. Coverage includes scientific, technical, medical and social sciences literature including, arts and humanities. There are also 23 million patent records from 5 patent offices as well as links to 'Articles in Press' from over 3,000 journals.
E-tutorials and demos
ScienceDirect offers access to the full-text of over 2,000 Elsevier journals and navigation across 30 million records with links to 10,000 journal titles - covering all fields of science. Abstracts for some titles as far back as 1967. Full-text availability from 1995.Coverage: Varies according to title | E-tutorials
Provides authoritative medical information on medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, pre-clinical sciences, and much more. Created by the National Library of Medicine, MEDLINE uses MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) indexing with tree, tree hierarchy, subheadings and explosion capabilities to search citations from over 4,800 current biomedical journals.
Biomedcentral BioMed Central is an independent publishing house committed to providing immediate free access to peer-reviewed biomedical research. Browse and search research articles of 175 journals. Coverage: All research articles.
EMBASE (Excerpta Medica), is the most comprehensive database in biomedicine and pharmacology and gives you access to the most up-to-date information about medical and drug-related subjects. The EMBASE journal collection is international with over 4,500 biomedical journals from 70 countries. Allows simultaneous searching of the Medline database. Help
Academic Search Complete
Full-text access to over 5,000 peer-reviewed journals in: business, communications, computer science, biology, chemistry, engineering, physics, psychology, education and nursing.
American Medical Association (AMA)
AMA Journals are among the most widely circulated family of peer-reviewed medical journals in the world. Each journal ranks among the top clinical journals in its respective field in terms of citations. Provides full text access to JAMA (Journal of American Medical Association) plus 9 speciality archives journals.

Annual Reviews Authoritative, analytic reviews in 34 disciplines within the Biomedical, Physical, and Social Sciences. Annual Reviews saves you time by synthesising the vast amount of primary research literature and identifying the principal contributions in your field. Annual Reviews publications are among the highest cited publications by impact factor according to the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI). Coverage: 1996 - present.
Provides access to a wide range of medical journals, including BMJ, and covers a broad spectrum of medical specialities. All journals are peer reviewed and titles such as Thorax, Heart and Gut are leaders in their fields.

Cambridge Journals Online
Full text access to over 260 peer-reviewed journals covering all the main subjects in the humanities, social sciences and hard sciences: mathematics and applied science, neuroscience and biomedicine, history, language and linguistics, political science and international relations.
Full text access to 14 Cell Press titles including Cancer Cell, Cell, Cell Metabolism, Developmental Cell, Molecular Cell, Neuron and Structure.
