Main lending books (3 week and 1 week) for your subject may be located on the first or second floor of the library, depending on the subject. The library currently provides access to thousands of  e-books. When you search the library catalogue you can refine your search by choosing "E-Books" on the left hand side of the screen. When you click on the link to view the book you may be asked to verify yourself as a registered student by logging in with your username and password.

SPORT Discus An international database containing of references to literature in all aspects of sports medicine, exercise physiology, biomechanics, training techniques, coaching, physical education, physical fitness, active living, recreation, history, facilities and equipment.

Provides authoritative medical information on medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, pre-clinical sciences, and much more. Created by the National Library of Medicine, MEDLINE uses MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) indexing with tree, tree hierarchy, subheadings and explosion capabilities to search citations from over 4,800 current biomedical journals.

Web of Science
Web of Science provides access to the Science Citation Index, a multidisciplinary index to the journal literature of the sciences.   Scopus is one of the largest multi-disciplinary abstracting and indexing databases of research literature and quality web sources. It offers access to over 16,000 titles from more than 4000 international publishers, with abstracts available back to 1966. Citation data is available from 1996. Coverage includes scientific, technical, medical and social sciences literature including, arts and humanities. There are also 23 million patent records from 5 patent offices as well as links to 'Articles in Press' from over 3,000 journals.

Full-text access to over 5,000 peer-reviewed journals in: business, communications, computer science, biology, chemistry, engineering, physics, psychology, education and nursing.                     

Education Research Complete
Education Research Complete is a bibliographic and full text database covering scholarly research and information relating to all areas of education. Topics covered include all levels of education from early childhood to higher education, and all educational specialties, such as multilingual education, health education, and testing. Education Research Complete also covers areas of curriculum instruction as well as administration, policy, funding, and related social issues. The database provides indexing and abstracts for more than 1,500 journals, as well as full- text for more than 750 journals. This database also includes full text for more than 80 books and full text for numerous education-related conference papers.

EMBASE (Excerpta Medica), is the most comprehensive database in biomedicine and pharmacology and gives you access to the most up-to-date information about medical and drug-related subjects. The EMBASE journal collection is international with over 4,500 biomedical journals from 70 countries. Allows simultaneous searching of the Medline database.

Previously hosted on InformaWorld, InformaHealthcare hosts nearly 200 journals in medicine, pharmacology, neurology and psychiatry. View a list of titles here.

General Science Full Text  
Provides full text from more than 100 periodicals dating as far back as 1995, in addition to indexing and abstracts for nearly 300 periodicals dating back to 1984. Subject coverage includes astronomy, biology, botany, chemistry, conservation, health & medicine, oceanography, physics, zoology and much more.

SAGE journals online     Full-text access to over 400 journals in Business, Humanities, Social Sciences, and Science, Technology and Medicine

Science Direct 
Full-text access to over 1200 science, technology and medicine journals, including over 700 in the life sciences.        

Full-text access to over 1,000 journals including over 300 life sciences and biomedical titles.

Taylor & Francis Online   
Previously Informaworld. Access to 1000+ peer reviewed journal titles published by Taylor and Francis, and a selection of journals published by Routledge and Psychology Press, covering arts & humanities, social sciences, sport, physics, mathematics, and chemistry. 

Wiley Online Library   
Full-text access to over 1,200 Wiley journals, E-books, reference works and databases covering subject areas including: business, chemistry, computer science, engineering, law, life sciences, mathematic, physics, psychology and social sciences. Register to take advantage of alerting services and stay on top of the latest developments in your field.
