It’s summer! And our DCU LSI cafés are still running
It’s summer and the sun is splitting the stones!
So if you need a break from the heat and a good chat to go with it, come along to the DCU Life Sciences Institute Café, which is continuing to run in its usual slot of Tuesdays at 10am in the Life Sciences Research Facility (LSRF) Social Hub.
In recent weeks we have heard, among other things, about carbon nano-onions (not as tasty as they sound); technologies to boost microbial discoveries and enhance protein drug formulation and an exciting new project to identify links between ethanol emissions from distilleries and the aptly named ‘whiskey fungus’ that blackens nearby buildings.
So if your brain is melting in this heat, come and chill at the LSI café, where you can distract it with chat and learning.
If you have an idea, project or technology that you’d like to pitch at the LSI Café please email us at lsi@dcu.ie or simply come along on any Tuesday.
When: Every Tuesday at 10am
Where: Life Science Research Facility (LSRF) Social Hub (GG11)
