BIOFABRICATE

Vijai Kumar Gupta has received the BIOFABRICATE project funding that was recently announced by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, a collaborative project focused on developing and validating bio‑based materials, products and technologies from Irish forest biomass. Coordinated by the Timber Engineering Research Group at the University of Galway, BIOFABRICATE brings together 12 partners across academia and industry to advance sustainable solutions for applications in engineered timber construction, manufacturing and processing, food packaging, and pharmaceuticals, supporting the transition to a circular, low‑emission bioeconomy.

Vijai is now the National Chairperson of the Bioeconomy Committee of NSAI, Ireland.
