Undergraduate Mature Applicant Timeline

✅ Explore your options & confirm eligibility (Before November 2025)

  • You will be 23 or older on January 1st of your start year
  • Review course options in the DCU Prospectus
  • Check programme specific entry requirements (some courses may require certain subjects, an interview or exams).  Entry requirements are found under the heading Mature Applicants in the Course Prospectus information.  It is vital that applicants check the published information.

💬Assessment Stage (Spring–Summer 2026)

  • Applicants may be asked to complete an interview, a written             statement, or both.
  • In May, you’ll get an email from DCU about your status:

    ✅ Eligible to receive an offer

    ❌ Ineligible to receive an offer

  • Need details? See pages 27 & 28 of the CAO 2025 Handbook
  • Mature applicants' programme offers are made in early July via the CAO. Please check the CAO website for a confirmed date
  • Applicants for the B.Ed. and Nursing programmes may receive outcomes at a different time through the CAO.
