DCU student wins Health Literacy Award

Congratulations to Conor McGinnity on winning a Crystal Clear MSD Health Literacy Award for his radio documentary 'My Dad's Depression'. The documentary, which drew in an audience of 240 000 listeners when aired earlier this year on RTÉ Radio, gives an insight into families who live with loved ones suffering from depression.

Conor and an RTÉ Radio 1 team took top prize in the 'Best Health Communication through Journalism' category. The awards recognise and reward excellence in clear, accessible communication with the public on health-related issues.

Conor, from Dundalk, has just completed a Masters in Multimedia.
