DCU Student shortlisted for radio industry award

DCU Communications Studies graduate, Ann Marie Duffin, has been shortlisted for the PPI Radio Awards – the top radio awards in Ireland.

 Her short radio documentary, ‘Mag’, which began life as an audio assignment for her radio module at DCU, tells the true story of a young woman who suffers with an unexplained illness, from which she has an unexpected recovery. 

‘Mag’, which was broadcast as part of RTÉ Radio 1’s ‘Documentary Hour’, has been nominated for a Short Feature award in the Speech Programming Category.  The winner will be announced at the PPI Radio Awards Gala dinner at Lyrath House Hotel, Kilkenny on October 4^th.
