Launch of Maths Learning Support Evaluation Report

The DCU Maths Learning Centre is pleased to announce they will host the launch of a new report from The Irish Mathematics Learning Support Network (IMLSN), and invite all interested parties to attend.  The report, entitled “Student evaluation of Mathematics Learning Support: Insights from a large scale multi-institutional survey” was written by Ciarán O’Sullivan (ITT Dublin), Ciarán Mac an Bhaird (Maynooth University), Olivia Fitzmaurice (University of Limerick) and Eabhnat Ní Fhloinn (Dublin City University).

This report, based on a large-scale multi-institutional survey undertaken in 9 HEIs around Ireland, is based on the detailed responses of 1,600 first-year student respondents who participated with their evaluation of the impact of mathematics learning support in higher education.

The event will take place on Friday 21st November 2014 at 3pm in the Maths Learning Centre, located on the ground floor of the John & Aileen O’Reilly Library in DCU.  The report will be launched by Senator Mary Moran, Labour Party Senator and spokesperson on Education, Disability, Mental Health and Equality. Other invited speakers include Professor Duncan Lawson (Newman University, Birmingham) and Professor (Emeritus) John O’Donoghue (NCE-MSTL)
