ABC researcher awarded Government of Ireland Scholarship

Congratulations to Helena Murphy, researcher in the National Anti-Bullying Research and Resource Centre at DCU, who has been awarded a Government of Ireland Scholarship for her work in the area of bullying in primary schools, particularly among children from lower socioeconomic backgrounds. 

A total of 1,200 graduate students competed for €16.2 million over four years and Helena was one of 213 scholars awarded funding based on the excellence, novelty and innovation of her project.

Exploring the origins of Zirconium stars, redefining tomb funerary archaeology, modern Irish Sculpture and enhancing weather predict ion to tackle climate change are a sample of topics by the other successful scholars under the 2015 Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship Awards from the Irish Research Council.
