DCU spinout wins Cleantech Award

AmbiSense, the DCU spinout company, has won a Cleantech Award at the 9th European Venture Summit in Dusseldorf.  The event brings together 100 upcoming entrepreneurs and 120 investors and industry representatives for a 2‐day pitching, networking and idea‐sharing spree.

The 100 presenting companies at the summit were invited as the top rated companies of the European Venture Contest, selected over a series of regional or sector–focused qualifying events. AmbiSense, as part of the 100 upcoming companies, was reviewed online and onsite by investors and the investor jury on 7 criteria.  The Top 25 winners got the highest review ratings following the online screening and onsite pitches.  AmbiSense was one of five companies to win an award in the Cleantech category.

On receiving the award, Stephen McNulty CEO of AmbiSense said,

“We are delighted to have won in the Cleantech category among very deserving companies. To be acknowledged as being among the most pioneering of European cleantech startups is a real honour for the AmbiSense team.”

The European Venture Summit, now in its 9th year, is Europe’s foremost networking and investment event for high growth technology start-ups, venture capital investors and technology corporations.  It offers fledgling companies like AmbiSense the opportunity to grow businesses across borders and engage directly with Europe’s most active investors across investor-types.
