Applications invited for UStart Student Accelerator Programme

The DCU Ryan Academy is inviting applications from next generation industry leaders for a place on the prestigious UStart Student Accelerator Programme which is worth €10,000 per team or individual.

Budding entrepreneurs, social innovators and hackers are invited to submit an application to win a place on the 12 week course with input from world class start-up experts.

The closing date for applicants is Monday, April 25th. The successful applicants will be announced May 6th.

The series commences in June and concludes in September.

Speaking about UStart Student Accelerator Programme 2016 Eoghan Stack, CEO of the Ryan Academy said:

“Enabling our next generation industry leaders to bring an idea to fruition and get their project off the ground, with proper support and investment is something the Ryan Academy is fully committed too. The UStart Student Accelerator Programme is an exciting opportunity for students with an idea, but crucially students who need infrastructural support and mentoring to bring it to a point where it is ready to lift off. The UStart Student Accelerator is about providing those supports and setting budding entrepreneurs on their journey.”

Successful participants will be assisted with developing their idea into a minimum viable product and to refine the quality of this through customer validation and product development all under the tutelage of mentor guidance.

They will benefit from taking their untested idea through a stringent process of research and testing, in order to come up with a viable prototype.

Once students graduate from the programme, they will be in a strong position to continue the development of their venture through other start-up supports here in Ireland.
