DCU players selected for Irish Basketball squad

Four DCU players have made the Irish Senior Women's Squad for the FIBA European Championships for Small Countries in June.

Aoife McDermott, Mairead McNally, Fionnuala Toner and Sarah Woods are among the 27 players selected in Mark Scannell's extended squad.

This is the first Senior Women's squad that has been named in six years. DCU captured this year's Women's Premier League Regular Season Title.

Team Montenotte Hotel (5), Pyrobel Killester (3), Meteors (3), SuperValu Brunell (3) along with UL Huskies, Maxol WIT Wildcats, NUIG Mystics and Courtyward Liffey Celtics are all represented in addition to a number of overseas players.
