UStart company CitySwifter awarded place on UK Intelligent Mobility accelerator

Congratulations to CitySwifter, participants of the 2016 DCU UStart programme, who have been selected onto a UK start-up programme focussed on intelligent mobility.

The Intelligent Mobility Accelerator has been designed by Transport Systems Catapult and Wayra UK to attract disruptive start-ups with high-growth potential into the UK transport supply chain, while helping them grow into world-leading companies.

Starting on 6th November, the programme will support 12 companies to develop data-driven solutions for the most pressing transport problems facing the world today, improving day-to-day life for millions of commuters while creating new UK-based industry leaders in the £900bn global transport systems market.

CitySwifter will benefit from a six-month support programme, office space, mentoring and networking. They will get access to the partners’ networks of investors, government agencies, customers, large corporates and universities, as well as opportunities to work with the TSC’s world-leading Data, Visualisation, Customer Experience and Connected and Autonomous Vehicle capability teams.

CitySwifter is the brainchild of Longford trio, Brian O’Rourke, Alan Farrelly and Sean, all graduates of Dublin City University. The team took part in UStart 2016, DCU’s student accelerator programme run by the DCU Ryan Academy which supports student entrepreneurs develop early-stage businesses.
