DCU student Hackathon open for registration

HackDCU is an opportunity for current students to bring an idea to market and network within Dublin’s entrepreneurial community.

The event is being run by the DCU Ryan Academy and will take place on the DCU Alpha Campus on the weekend of the 4th - 6th March The winning team will receive a prize to the value of €1,000 and the opportunity to pitch for a place on UStart, DCU’s accelerator programme.

The three day event involves student leaders, innovators, designers and developers coming together to create a business that solves an entrepreneurial challenge. Experienced mentors will be available to guide participants with creating and building ideas. The teams will then pitch their ideas and newly built products to a panel of experts.

All students are invited to register. The registration categories are business, developer, designer and engineer! If none of these categories appeal to you, you can register under ‘Other’.

Refreshments will be provided by local companies. Applicants are also assured they won’t miss the Six Nations and Ireland VS. England will be streamed on a big screen while they enjoy pizza!
