Finale of Entrepreneurship Programme at DCU Ryan Academy

The DCU Ryan Academy and the Migrant Rights Centre Ireland (MRCI) held the finale event of the Migrant Womens' Entrepreneurship Training (MWET) programme on Saturday, May 26th at the DCU Ryan Academy with this year's participants pitching their business ideas in front of a distinguished panel of judges.

Funded by the European Social Fund Women Entrepreneurship project, the DCU Ryan Academy delivered a customised entrepreneurship training programme for 25 migrant women from countries such as Colombia, Brazil, Venezuela, Bejing, Moscow, Poland, Barcelona, Kenya, Mauritius, Nigeria and South Africa.

Following a nine-week series, course participants presented learnings and findings from the course and presented their business idea in front of a jugding panel and audience.

The Migrant Women’s Entrepreneurship Training (MWET) took place at the DCU Ryan Academy City West Campus, Dublin, commencing on March 10th and concluding on May 26th.

The DCU Ryan Academy is a collaboration between Dublin City University – Ireland’s University of Enterprise – and the family of Tony Ryan, one of the country’s most successful entrepreneurs.

The prestigious and reputable Ryan Academy is a leader in entrepreneurial & innovation practice and has been working in the sector for more than a decade.

This year's mentoring programme included course facilitators to match participants with industry experts suited to their business to facilitate best outcomes.
