Deirdre Murphy for Dublin LGFA

DCU represented in the LGFA All-Ireland Final

The 2018 All-Ireland Ladies Football final (Sunday, 16th September) sees Cork and Dublin facing off against each other in Croke Park at 4pm.

Dublin are defending champions and face tough opposition from Cork, who have beaten Dublin in four All-Ireland finals ( 2009, 2014, 2015, 2016)

Dublin City University will play a large role in the decider, with a total of 14 students and alumni on the Dublin team (on and off the pitch).

Our 9 alumni students are Deirdre Murphy, Lyndsey Davey, Muireann Ni Scanaill, Sinéad Finnegan, Kate Fitzgibbon, and Síobhan Woods, with Ken Robinson, Ryan O’Flaherty and Paul Casey on the management team.

Our current students lining out for Dublin are Laura McGinley (BSc in Marketing Innovation & Technology), Leah Caffrey (MSc in Management (Business)), Lauren Magee (BSc in Health & Society), Katie Murray (BSc in Environmental Science & Health), and Eabha Rutledge (BA in Gnó agus Gaeilge).

Wishing the very best of luck to both teams!
