DCU students chosen to represent Ireland at the London International Youth Science Forum (LIYSF)

Two DCU students have been chosen to represent Ireland at the London International Youth Science Forum which is taking place currently (24 July – 7 August).

Clarice O'Brien (undergraduate psychology student) and Luiza Istoc (common entry science student) were awarded bursaries from the Faculty of Science and Health to attend this prestigious event. 

The LIYSF is a leading global forum with 500 attendees from 77 countries. Over two weeks, students are given an opportunity to attend lecture demonstrations from leading scientists and to visit world class laboratories and universities. The opening ceremony included addresses from HRH the Princess Royal and Sir Venki Ramakrishnan, Noble Prize winner and President of the Royal Society.

Pictured are Marie O'Flanagan, Assistant Faculty Manager and Dr. Blánaid White, Associate Dean for Teaching and Learning, Faculty of Science and Health, who both attended the opening ceremony with Clarice and Luiza. The faculty bursary award is supported by administrator Grace Hickey.
