Strong DCU representation at the 30th World University Games

DCU is proud to announce that 6 Students, 2 Graduates and the DCU Archery Club Coach have been nominated for the 30th World University Games in Naples, Italy from the 2nd-14th July 2019.

The students will represent DCU and Ireland as they compete with student athletes from all over the world. The biennial World University Games, organised by FISU (the International University Sports Federation), is considered second only to the Olympics in terms of competing athlete numbers.

In Naples, over 9,300 students from 128 countries will compete in 18 sports. Team Ireland's delegation managed by Student Sport Ireland, announced a delegation of 52 students to compete in four sports at the World University Games.

The sports are Athletics, Women’s Soccer, Men’s Soccer and Archery.
