McAleese Scholarships for Northern Ireland Students

The DCU McAleese Scholarships were introduced this year to make study at DCU more accessible to Northern Ireland students. Open to all CAO applicants applying to DCU with a permanent home address in Northern Ireland, up to 40 scholarships are available for entry 2015. These scholarships will include an award of €1000, allowing successful applicants to gain one of forty additional places across more than 60 DCU undergraduate degrees programmes. 

Entry Requirements

Applicants must meet DCU minimum entry requirements and specific programme entry requirements as outlined on the DCU website: www.dcu.ie/registry/undergrad.shtml 

The scholarships are based on presentation of three A-levels, with a minimum requirement of 2 ‘A’ and 1 ‘B’ grades. The required personal statement will be used in the event of ties on point scoring.

How to Apply

To be eligible, applicants must have applied through the Central Applications Office (CAO) AND submit the McAleese Scholarship Application Form directly to DCU, by the normal closing date of 1st February 2015 no later than 5.15pm, or before the late closing date of 1st May 2015 no later than 5.15pm.
