Bachelor of Arts (Joint Honours) Programme Humanities (DC009)

** Music is a Restricted Entry Subject on the Bachelor of Arts (Joint Honours) programme (DC009).  Apply through the CAO (Central Applications Office) course code: DC009 by 1st February 2019.  Late applications cannot be accepted.

Outline of Music Tests (Entry 2019) Aural / Theory Test (Saturday 23rd March 2019 at 3.00pm or 6.00pm)

Following the closing date for applications through the CAO, DCU will communicate with each applicant wishing to take Music as a subject on the Bachelor of Arts (Joint Honours) programme (DC009).  Applicants will be invited to participate in an Aural/ Theory Test to indicate their suitability for the Music course.  This test will take place on Saturday 23rd March at 3.00pm or 6.00pm.  To view a sample Music Test paper click here.

Applicants who attend for the Aural / Theory Test will be contacted by email with their result.

If unsuccessful, applicants will no longer be eligible for the Music subject on the Bachelor of Arts (Joint Honours) programme, Humanities (DC009) in this application year.

NOTE: the Aural / Theory Test on Saturday 23rd March will fulfil the requirements for applicants who are applying for music on DC009 and DC012: Bachelor of Religious Education and Music (Restricted).

Applicants for DC012: Bachelor of Religious Education and Music (Restricted) programme will also take a Performance assessment on Saturday 6th April 2019 depending on the outcome of the Aural / Theory Test.  Full details are available here.
