Confirm Key Details: Upon notification of an employee's intention to resign, meet with them to discuss and confirm their contractual notice period, last day of work, and outstanding annual leave entitlement.

Formalise Resignation: Ensure the employee submits a letter of resignation to you and copies in askdcupeople@dcu.ie. The notice period commences from the date the written notification is submitted.

Follow General Offboarding Actions below

Notify Fixed-Term Employees: Ensure an employee on a fixed-term contract is notified of their contractual end date at least one month in advance.

Research Accounts: If the employee leaving is a manager or PI (Principal Investigator) on a Research Account, you must contact Research Accounts to inform them of the departure.
