School of Physical Sciences Undergraduate Academic Achievement Awards Ceremony October 2017

Every year the School of Physical Sciences in DCU has small awards for academic achievement in the three undergraduate degree programmes, for each year. These celebrate the achievement of the top-ranked student in each programme (Applied Physics - AP, Physics with Biomedical Sciences - PBM and Physics with Astronomy - PHA) in the preceding year and also enable these students to record such achievements on their CVs.

The awardees this year are as follows:

Applied Physics

  • AP1: Philip O'Kelly (now in AP2)
  • AP2: Maksim Jacenko (now in AP3)
  • AP3: Andrew Forembski (now in AP4)
  • AP4: Adam Prior (graduating on 3 rd November)

Physics with Biomedical Sciences

  • PBM1: Paul Cannon (now in PBM2)
  • PBM2: Caitlin McFeely; Pierre Murchan (now in PBM3)
  • PBM3: Adam McGrath (now in PBM4)
  • PBM4: David Scanlon (graduating on 3 rd November)

Physics with Astronomy

  • PHA1: Joachim Bosschaert; Stephen Durkan (now in PHA2)
  • PHA2: Luis Canizares (now in PHA3)
  • PHA3:Ciaran Frain (now in PHA4)
  • PHA4: Robert Garvey (graduating on 3 rd November)

 A small awards ceremony was held in the School of Physical Sciences on 25th October 2017, to present the awards to the years 1 to 3 awardees (the graduating year 4 awardees will be presented after the graduation ceremony on 3 rd November 2017). Some photographs are included below:
