Physics Programmes at DCU Accredited by the Institute of Physics for Maximum Term
The School of Physical Sciences recently underwent an accreditation under the supervision of the Institute of Physics and we’re delighted to announce that full accreditation has been received for our four degree programmes. External accreditation is important as it provides an independent assessment of the academic quality of the physics programmes offered by the school and complements DCU’s internal quality assurance by providing discipline-specific recognition that programmes meet the standards expected by the physics profession. Thanks to all members of staff who supported the process, which was led by Dr. Rob O’Connor from the school.
When you combine the above accreditation with the excellent teaching in the school (underpinned by physics education research), our small class sizes, modern curriculum and strong research record, DCU is a great choice for anyone considering studying physics.
