Academic biography
Louise completed her MA (undergraduate) Psychology at the University of Glasgow in 2019 and her MA Research Methods (Developmental Psychology) in 2020 at Durham University. Her MA dissertation explored adaptation effects of viewing high or low muscularity bodies in young men. Finally, she completed her PhD at Durham University in 2025, exploring the risk factors for body image and eating disorders across development.
Louise currently works as a postdoctoral researcher at Dublin City University with Dr Ciara Mahon on the Attune Project. This project aims to develop a new digital intervention for body image concerns in young adults.
