Health Technologies and the Healthy and Ageing Society

The Health Technologies and the Healthy and Ageing Society priority area focuses on developing and implementing technologies to address the challenges of an ageing society. The Health Technologies area brings together research from multiple disciplines in DCU. In particular, it can integrate biomedical research with technology and social sciences to provide innovative solutions to problems in many areas: Smart pharma: innovations to address challenge sin the biopharmaceutical industry; Pre-clinical discovery: a multi-disease approach to investigating mechanism underpinning chronic disease; Translating biomedical research into practical application: unique capability in sensor-based devices; Connected health: an integrated approach to improving life for patients through healthcare innovations.
