This Emergency Support page contains resources for critical assistance during, or immediately after an emergency related to dignity, respect or sexual misconduct.
If you or someone else is at immediate risk of harm, your safety is the first priority. You do not need to decide whether to report an incident before seeking help.
If you or somebody else is injured, in immediate danger, or you are concerned about your safety, your first priority is to get to a place of safety and seek urgent help.
If it is safe to do so
Move to a place where you feel safe.
Contact emergency services if you are in immediate danger.
If you are alone, contact someone you trust and ask them to stay with you or meet you.
Seek medical attention if you have been injured or require urgent healthcare.
If you are supporting someone else, remain calm, listen without judgement, reassure them, and help them access appropriate emergency or medical support.
Your safety and wellbeing are the priority. Once you are safe, you can access information about support and reporting options through the DCU Respect Hub.
