Join us for a dynamic, hands-on field workshop combining water testing and aquatic wildlife discovery.
Kick off along the riverbank with a 30-minute intro to citizen science water monitoring, featuring a live demo of chemical nutrient testing. Next, join for 30 minutes of macroinvertebrate monitoring — learn what these tiny creatures are, watch a kick-sampling demonstration, and see what bugs we catch!
To finish, take a short stroll back to the St. Patrick’s Campus library hall for a 30-minute interactive lab session, examining specimens to discover what underwater life tells us about river health.
