Research Title: Exploring the effectiveness of alternative interventions on indices of psychological health in young males

Currently there is a need to explore the effectiveness of targeted alternative interventions aimed at alleviating current experiences of distress and preventing long-term escalation of mental health problems among men. Psychotherapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) are effective in improving feelings of well-being and exercise-based interventions provide an avenue of support that is both accessible and attractive to young males. The main aim of this body of research therefore, is to explore the effectiveness of alternative interventions incorporating both CBT techniques and physical activity on indices of mental health in young men
