Research Title: TechWear: The Effect of Wearable Technology on Adolescent Physical Activity Patterns

Research summary:

My research is primarily focused on youth physical activity patterns. One particular focus is the validation of consumer level physical activity monitors as accurate physical activity measuring devices. A key area of my research targets identifying whether or not wearable technology has an effect on physical activity patterns of adolescents. Ultimately, I aim to determine whether or not wearable technology holds the potential to increase adolescent participation in physical activity. Other research areas include: Fine Motor Skill ability in Children.
