Highlighting the Impact of LifeLab on Health Literacy
Lorna Burke, a PhD researcher who works with LifeLab presented at the European Public Health Conference in Helsinki, from November 12-14. Lorna participated in a scientific session on health literacy in children, presenting her research on LifeLab's impact on health literacy and well-being among students. Lorna's presentation was part of a collaborative effort with European researchers focusing on health outcomes and development in children.
Lorna is in her final year of her PhD, and her dissertation topic is "LifeLab: A Health Literacy Intervention for Junior Cycle Students," focusing on co-design, refinement, and implementation. She shared positive feedback from her recent conference presentation in Helsinki, which drew interest from European researchers and teachers in her secondary school program.
