Prof. Veronica Lambert is Full Professor of Children and Family Nursing at the School of Nursing and Human Sciences, Dublin City University. She is a Registered Childrens (RCN) and General (RGN) Nurse and completed her BNS (Hons) degree and PhD (2009) at the School of Nursing and Midwifery Studies, Trinity College Dublin. In Sept 2012, she was presented with the Jozien Bensing Award for talented early career research from the European Association for Communication in Healthcare (EACH). Her research interests include child and family healthcare communication; child and family self-management of long-term childhood conditions; psychosocial wellbeing and impact of illness; patient safety culture including paediatric early warning systems; and public and patient involvement (PPI) in both in health care and research. Veronica is the Health Research Board PPI Ignite Lead for DCU. Veronica also has a particular interest in influencing clinical research capacity building in children's nursing.
