Geography Education Specialism Students present at International Conference

Students taking the BEd Geography, Environmental and Outdoor (GEO) Specialism presented at the Geographical Associations 125th Annual Conference on April 6th at Sheffield Hallam University, England.

Their presentation 'Starting out geographically: sharing experiences through stories and resources was was well received by those present. The students then took time to field questions from their audience that included researchers, academics, teachers and students from across the globe.

The students also explored Sheffield, as part of the conference, exploring the cultural landscape of the city. They attended a range of seminars on Geography and Geography Education, as well as meeting many of those whose work they read and use in their programme.

The students were very positive about their experiences, noting that the conference widened their view of the community they are part of.
