TY Open Day 2026

Join DCU's annual Transition Year Open Day on Tuesday 5th May, 2026 on our Glasnevin Campus. Due to overwhelming demand, we are now running a Morning AND Afternoon Session. We have designed this so that your students have more space to enjoy the many engaging features at the Open Day, while still inviting thousands of students to safely explore the campus.

The Morning Session will be from 9.30 am - 11.45 am

The Afternoon Session will be from 12.30 pm - 2.45 pm 

Your school will be assigned ONE session.

As always, students will have access to an array of opportunities to learn about DCU and University life:

— Course presentations delivered by current DCU students 

— Talks about student life, how to make friends, and getting involved in Clubs and Societies

— Campus Tours to explore our facilities

— Food trucks and live entertainment

Capacity for this event is restricted, and we are currently at full capacity.

The event is now fully booked. If you are interested in joining the waiting list, please email studentrecruitment@dcu.ie with details of your preferred session (Morning or Afternoon), the number of TY students, and the number of teachers you would like to bring.
