Message from Claire

Dear Students,

Nearly there! Things move quickly at this time of the year, so you need to make a conscious effort to use every day wisely and not let things build up. The more organised you are heading into the exam / assessment deadline period, the better you will do! Take a few minutes this week to read the Examination Regulations so that you know what to expect on the day.

As always, reach out to student.support@dcu.ie if you have any questions at all!

Warm regards,

Claire,
Dr. Claire Bohan, Dean of Students

Focus this week

Skills Development

Developing a Growth Mindset

A growth mindset is essential for success at university and beyond. This is the belief that you can improve in any area of your life that you put your effort into. A growth mindset leads to increased academic performance, confidence and overall wellbeing.

Our micro-course Discover Mindset will help you understand what a growth mindset is and how to apply it to your studies, learn strategies to deal with challenges and setbacks, make the most of the feedback you receive by turning it into actionable feedforward, and explore ways to lean into change.
You can also register for our one-hour workshop on Building a growth mindset and self-confidence on Wednesday 19th at 16:00, Glasnevin.
