Recommended this week: LETS!
The importance of citing and referencing is one of the biggest academic 'culture shocks' that students experience in their first semester, and one of the main concerns we hear in our Academic Writing workshops and Writing Centre appointments. If you are still trying to wrap your head around citing and referencing, LETS can help!
LETS is a bespoke e-tutorial created by our colleagues in the DCU Library. It will help you build confidence in your ability to navigate the DCU Library resources, and to effectively integrate information from sources into your writing.
Why not set aside some time to work your way through the course, or select the sections that seem more relevant to you at this stage? If you are not sure where to start, we recommend the following:
-
Locating books and articles from your reading list
-
Critically evaluating sources

Wellbeing resources on DEVELOP
As we reach mid semester, it’s a great time to pause, reflect, and take a breath. It’s been a busy semester so far, so take time to check in with yourself.
We can be going at such a fast pace that we don’t realise that we may not be looking after our mental wellbeing and physical health.
Did you know there are lots of resources available on the SS&D online hub, DEVELOP? There, you can find podcasts, short courses, and a bank of resources on mindfulness, psychological wellbeing skills, and physical wellbeing.
Take a moment to browse our wellbeing content below and see what resources can support you this week!
