First Years

  • DC015 Location: the first two years of study take place in the Technological University of the Shannon (TUS), Athlone. 
  • Registration: New students should register with DCU, and after this you will also receive an invitation to register with TUS. It may take a few days after your DCU registration for the invitation to come from TUS. You need to complete both registrations.
  • Classes:  on the programme start on Monday 14th September in TUS Athlone.
  • Orientation: Wednesday 9th September in TUS Athlone. You will receive information about this before the 9th of September. Please feel free to contact Manuel Fernández López (programme chair) with any additional queries (manuel.fernandezlopez@dcu.ie)

Programme Orientation

Programme Orientation is an important session where you’ll meet with academic staff, lecturers and tutors. You’ll meet your programme chairperson, your fellow students, find out about the structure of the programme and other programme-specific information.

In this session, you’ll have an opportunity to get to know your fellow students. You’ll also have an opportunity to meet with other students who have already completed their first year.
