Orientation for all new Postgraduate Students 

Note: International Students will also participate in an International Orientation Progamme

Orientation for Postgraduate students is broken down into two events:

Research students attend a dedicated information session with the Graduate Studies Office (GSO) from 2 to 3pm.

The main event for both Taught Masters and Research students takes place in the Helix at 3:30pm.

If you have any specific access requirements, please email disability.service@dcu.ie.
There is a designated quiet area where you can watch the Helix event live. 

 

TAUGHT STUDENTS

Time:  3.30pm-5.30pm

Venue:  Mahony Hall,  The Helix (Glasnevin Campus)

All new postgraduate taught students commencing in September 2019 are invited to attend Orientation.  Students will be given an introduction into postgraduate study at DCU and will have the opportunity to speak to staff from various student services including Registry, Fees, Sports, IT, Library and Student Support & Develoment.

RESEARCH STUDENTS

Date:  Friday, 20th September 2019

Time: 2pm - 3pm

This session is only relevant to doctoral and master's by research students.  It is not relevant to students on taught master's courses.

Venue: QG27, Ground Floor Business School (Glasnevin Campus)

The Graduate Studies Office welcome all incoming research students to attend orientation. You will be greeted by the Dean of Graduate Studies, Dr. Joseph Stokes, and learn about carrying out research at DCU.
