Trees for the Future
Join Clubs&SocsTeams on the Croquet Lawn (between Business School and McNulty Buildings) at 12.00 on Monday 2nd March when each Club or Society will plant a tree for the future.

Lunch for the Planet – Join us for a lunchtime event on the Steps where you will hear a series of micro lectures all about climate action, sustainability research and environmental science. Free lunch for the first 50 STUDENT attendees, catered by FoodCloud, a social enterprise that tackles climate change by repurposing surplus food. Each talk, given by experts from across all DCU Faculties, will be no longer than five minutes, so drop in and learn something new! Foraging Workshops w/ Denise Dunne from Herb School: Nettles, dandelions and cleavers - did you know that some of our most common weeds are edible plants? Join this hands-on 1-hour workshop exploring the edible and medicinal plants all around campus, learning how to safely identify, harvest and prepare native Irish plants, perfect for complete beginners. All proceeds in aid of Heartstone Veganic Sanctuary (@heartstonesanctuary), a non-profit that provides a lifelong home to rescued farm animals.
Open to all students, and perfect for complete beginners with no prior knowledge of plants. Click here to book your place now - spaces are limited!

The Sustainable Development Goals in Crises with Concern Worldwide
Join Concern Worldwide for an interactive climate workshop at Dublin City University. We’ll explore how climate change is impacting the world’s most vulnerable communities and how discussions around climate justice are reshaping power dynamics. Discuss ideas with your peers, learn real stories from the ground, and find practical methods to take action. This workshop is open to all students and FREE of charge, please book your spot here.

Patch & Chat Repair Cafe
The Climate Action Society is holding two textile repair cafes for Green Week, providing the use of needles, sewing and embroidery thread and some embroidery hoops. All you have to do is bring along something you want to repair or embroider. It will be a drop in format so you can join at any time and stay as long as you like!

DCU GLA Community Garden Workshop/Tours: Weather permitted there will be a series of workshops in the DCU GLA community garden during Green Week – please keep an eye on announcement for more info.
Litter Pick - Better Ballymun Day! - Help us pick up litter from the Ballymun Road to play our small part in Better Ballymun Day! You will be provided with gloves, a litter picker, a high vis vest and a rubbish bag for collecting litter that you find on the day. Litter picking is a small way that you can improve the environment around DCU and make a change in our local community. Sign up here.
