DCU aims to manage our procurement activities in an environmentally responsible and sustainable manner. To achieve this we are committed to:

• Providing guidance to staff involved in purchasing within the University and campus companies to allow them to make sustainable purchasing decisions
• Considering the whole life costs and environmental impacts when making purchasing decisions
• Include environmental performance in supplier appraisal criteria during supplier selection
• Encouraging suppliers to operate cleaner production processes, supply environmentally friendly products and spread environmental improvements throughout the supply chain
• Procurement of 100% recycled paper
