TEU Update 14 May 2026
Launch of new Education for Sustainable Development Hub:
From the SDGs to Doughnut Economics
On Tuesday, 26th May, the Teaching Enhancement Unit is launching a new resource that will bring together all of the available supports and resources related to ESD.
To celebrate, we will be hosting a morning of activities in The Spark (Albert College - AG49).
- The SDGs to 2030 Game (facilitated by Dr Mark Kelly from ATU)
- Step into the Doughnut (facilitated by Dr Lucia Walsh from TUD)
Spaces are limited and registration is open now.
See the event page for more information!
Loop Reflect Upgrade
We wish to share details of a forthcoming upgrade to Loop Reflect, DCU’s e-portfolio platform. Please note this upgrade only pertains to that system. Loop (Moodle) is unaffected, as we only upgrade Loop every two years.
To facilitate a major upgrade to a new generation of the Mahara software, which powers Loop Reflect, Reflect will be offline and inaccessible on Tuesday 23 June.
As the upgrade is taking place outside term time, we expect minimal disruption due to lower summer usage of Reflect. Nonetheless, students will be notified of the planned downtime in advance.
This substantial upgrade will introduce a significantly refreshed user interface, leading to an improved portfolio experience for DCU students.
