TEU Update 16 April 2026
ESD - Compendium of Existing Good Practice
As part of DCU's Education for Sustainable Development Hub, the TEU is compiling a compendium of existing good practice. This will highlight and showcase modules that have integrated content, pedagogies, methodologies and assessment strategies related to ESD and other complementary approaches such as Global Citizenship Education, Human Rights Education and Development Education.
We’re hoping this will inspire more teaching staff to integrate ESD themes into their practice and may even allow academics to identify opportunities for collaboration or interdisciplinary approaches.
You can include your module in the compendium by completing this short form.
Accept the Challenge!
DCU Challenge Accepted: A collaborative showcase of Challenge-Based Learning (CBL) will take place May 12th-13th in The Spark on DCU Glasnevin Campus.
DCU Futures & DCU Teaching Enhancement Unit will co-host a series of CBL-specific sharing and learning events in May to celebrate and inform CBL in practice across the university. On May 12th, a showcase event will feature contributions from educators, students and external partners, sharing examples of CBL in practice across a range of disciplines. On May 13th, two practical workshops are available: one focused on exploring the potential use and risks of GenAI in the CBL learning process and another focused on how CBL can be leveraged to integrate Education for Sustainable Development into practice.
Register today for any sessions of interest. More details about the timetable and speakers will be advertised in the coming weeks so watch this space.
