Cambridge Premiere for Composer Laura Sheils

DCU-based composer Laura Sheils was recently commissioned by the Choir of St John's College, Cambridge to compose a new Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis. The St John's Service was premiered at Choral Evensong on 16 November 2025 in the Chapel of St John's, conducted by Christopher Gray. A recording of the performance is available here.  

Laura is a PhD student at DCU, researching contemporary Irish choral music, and is Scholar-in-Residence at the Contemporary Music Centre, Dublin.
