Textual Intersections: Literature and Religion Symposium

On Friday 7 November 2025, the School of Theology, Philosophy, and Music and the School of English hosted a symposium on literature and religion. Colleagues from DCU were joined by guests from around the island of Ireland and throughout Europe for an exceptional day of presentations and discussions, exploring everything from early medieval Irish texts to contemporary fiction and poetry. Keynote lectures were offered by Professor Alison Jack (Edinburgh) and Dr Gail McConnell (Belfast), and their talks framed a really stimulating day.
