MA in Theology and World Religions

The School of Theology, Philosophy, and Music is pleased to offer scholarships for the MA in Theology and World Religions for those entering the programme in the 2026-27 academic year. These scholarships are funded by the Mater Dei Scholarship and Grant Committee. The scholarships cover half of the fees for the MATHWR programme. For 2026-27 we are pleased to offer:

Three scholarships for full-time students, covering €4,050 of the fees for the one-year, full-time programme.

Two scholarships for part-time students, to be paid towards fees over two years. These awards are for a total of €4,500, or €2,250 per academic year.
Applications are welcome from those who have an initial degree in Theology, Religious Studies, Religious Education, or a related field of study in the Humanities, such as history, politics, philosophy, psychology, literature, or cultural studies. Applicants must have received a final award of at least Second Class Honours (2:1). Applicants who are currently completing an undergraduate degree are welcome to apply. Shortlisted candidates may be interviewed.
