Smurfit Kappa Group - GRADUATE MANAGEMENT TRAINING PROGRAMME |
 |
Smurfit Kappa Group’s Graduate Management Training Program which was
established in 1979 has a number of unique features.
•Through its placement system, it provides a safe learning environment for two
years to individuals who, although required to make their own degree choice at 17 or
18 years of age, have had little work experience. While you are anxious to have a
career in management, you may not yet know where, or how, to begin your career.
•It invites applications for any and all disciplines, whether at primary or post-primary
degree level.
•The selection process places a greater emphasis on your character and managerial
potential than on your academic results.
•It provides you with four placements, each of six months duration, in different and
distinct business units. A placement may feature one major assignment or a series
of small projects. Regardless, the issues to be addressed always reflect the needs of
the business at that time and can range across the functions.
At the end of the Programme, you will have exposure to, and experience of, many
of the issues which a successful business must face and manage.
As you approach the end of your time on the Programme, you will have a clear idea
of the way you would like to develop your career. You will be given guidance in order
to help you choose the option that best suits you and you will be given details of
suitable vacancies for which you can apply.
The majority of Senior Executives within the Smurfit Kappa Group itself have grown
with our organization. We have a strong preference for people who know our
business and culture.
TO APPLY: SmurfitKappa
The Closing date for applications is 14th February 2010 for programme commencing
October 2010
