ANALYSTS - MANAGEMENT RESEARCH PROJECT

The Irish Management Institute in Dublin is running a research project in 2010 which
will evaluate management practices across Ireland. It is envisaged that the project
will run during July, August and September. We are looking to hire a number of
analysts to be engaged on a project basis. Analysts will be employed by and based
at the IMI campus in Sandyford, Dublin, Ireland where initial training will also be
held.

Your role:
The analyst’s role will involve conducting in-depth interviews with senior managers
from a range of companies across Ireland. Interviews will take the form of a
structured conversation about management practices in the manager’s
organisation. During the course of each interview you will collect detailed data on
key organisational processes being discussed. A successfully completed interview
will require clearly annotated data on all management areas covered and will take at
least 45 minutes. The organisations will have agreed to be contacted but scheduling
interviews with individual managers will be necessary.

You will be paid a piece rate salary at a rate of €35 per successfully completed
interview and a base rate salary of €50 per week. We expect that the completion of
a successful interview will take on average two hours, allowing for scheduling.

Who are we looking for:
The ideal candidate will have attained or will be undertaking a post-graduate
qualification in business. In addition we require:
• prior business experience,
• an excellent command of English, both written and verbal,
• computer literacy and familiarity with basic Microsoft packages,
• demonstrated interpersonal ability and motivation,
• demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office software and typing skills,
• a high level of discretion and a professional approach in dealing with
managers.
