This week’s careers and skills resources:

1. Web Resource: CV Advice Tips on the DCU Careers Web site.
Want to present yourself attractively to an employer via your CV or application form? Take a look at the CV and application section on the DCU Careers Website (you will need your DCU username and password to log in). It covers what to include in a CV, how to present your CV, finding the right words, targeting your CV, answering longer questions on application forms and lots more.

2. Video Resource: CVs and applications
Go to the Online Resource section on the DCU Careers Service homepage. Click "Video and Podcasts" to find the video resources for CVs and applications.

3. Book Resource: "Pitch Yourself: the most effective CV you’ll ever write" by Faust & Faust. Based on the Elevator Pitch concept, it shifts the focus from your perspective to the employer’s perspective. A copy of the book is available in the Library.

 Chinese Summer Programmes -

  The International Office is offering two Chinese summer programmes with scholarships:-

1. Wuhan University Summer Programme

 Graduate Situational Judgment Exercise (GSJE) - help needed with trialling

  OPC Assessment have designed a new Situational Judgement Test (SJT) specifically for graduates and are seeking undergraduates or graduates to sit the trial test for them online.

Graduates who take part in the trial will have an excellent opportunity to experience and practice completing a SJT for FREE! In addition OPC Assessment will provide feedback on how candidates have done to help them prepare for when they come to sit an SJT for real. For further information click here .
